Blue-and-white porcelain bottle with café-au-lait enamel, Qing dynasty
A porcelain bottle with a globular body and a long, slender, cylindrical neck, ending in a small flaring mouth. The upper part of the piece is decorated in cobalt-blue underglaze over white enamel, combined with an application of brown-au-lait enamel that covers the lower part of the body, creating an elegant chromatic contrast. The neck has a geometric design of stylised descending points, while at the base of the neck, above the bulbous shoulder, there is a decorative band with petal motifs and interlacing motifs in the form of lozenges. The lower part of the body remains plain, with the beige glaze standing out. The base is enamelled and shows a square seal in blue, framed by an unglazed ring corresponding to the firing support. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
