Carved amber pendant, Tibet, Qing dynasty

Natural amber pendant, carved and polished into an irregular disc shape. The piece, which is yellow, opaque and uniform in colour, reveals some inclusions and darker veins characteristic of the material. It has a central perforation, like a disc, so that it can be worn as a pendant.
