Carved jade bracelet ‘Taotie’, Han dynasty

Rigid jade bracelet, carved from a very pale, almost white celadon-coloured stone. The outer surface of the piece is completely decorated in fine bas-relief with small spiral scrolls framing imposing taotie masks.
