Carved jade figurine ‘Beast’, Han style

Green jade with reddish flecks and ochre-toned patina. It shows a robust beast, lying on its bent legs, with its head cocked to one side, its tail curled up and its jaws open, revealing its sharp fangs. On the back there is a rounded container, hollow inside.
