A trapezoidal piece with rounded corners, made of light-coloured jade with brown veins. The surface has a relief of a toad in static pose, located in the upper part of the piece, carved in detail on its extremities and head. The central part is gently recessed, indicating its possible use as an inkwell or ink palette. The reverse is smooth, with the natural veins of the stone visible. This type of representation is associated with longevity and good fortune. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or later.
