Carved jade vessel, ‘Landscape with Crane’, Qing dynasty

Ivory-coloured jade with dark veins, carved into a square shape. The sides are decorated with a bas-relief landscape featuring mountains and waves, while one of the faces features a finely carved crane in flight, resting on ruyi clouds and carrying a pendant in its beak. Qing dynasty (1644-1912)
