Chinese painting "Heavenly Lady", signed Zhang Daqian

A vertical painting on silk mounted on guazhóu, depicting a celestial female figure, possibly a Taoist immortal, in a dancing pose. The figure wears stylized robes with wide sleeves in soft shades of white, pink, green, and ochre, with gold details and an ornamental crown that suggests her elevated spiritual status. Her elegant posture and long, flowing ribbons accentuate her movement. In her right hand, she holds a peach, a symbol of longevity. Her serene and focused facial expression reinforces the ethereal character of the scene. On the right is the inscription: "戌寅秋日 大千居士张爰", accompanied by two seals: "張大千" and "墨客". Zhang Daqian (1899–1983) was one of the most renowned Chinese painters of the 20th century, renowned for his reinterpretations of classical art and his mastery of traditional painting.
