Chinese painting ‘Houses Among the Mountains’, signed Lan Ying

Pigments and ink on silk, with a brocade silk frame. The scene depicts a mountainous landscape, partially covered by clouds. In the foreground, flowering trees can be seen, and small rural buildings appear among the vegetation. On the left-hand side is the inscription ‘蝶叟蓝瑛画于稽山草堂’, alongside two red seals: “蓝瑛之印” and ‘田叔父’. Lan Ying (1585-1666).
