Chinese painting ‘Palaces Among Mountains’, signed Li Shida

Pigments and ink on silk, mounted on brocade silk. It depicts a mountainous landscape, crossed by waterfalls and lush vegetation, among which architecture and human figures are arranged. In the upper right corner is the inscription ‘万历庚戌长生日写于宝墨斋中李士达,’ accompanied by two red seals: ‘仰槐,李士达印.’ At the bottom are two other seals: ‘信公珍赏,仁恺审定.’ Li Shida (circa 1540).
