Chinese painting “Peaches and bats,” signed Dong Gao

Ink and pigments on silk, with brocade frame. The composition shows peach tree branches laden with fruit, among which colourful bats fly, framed by a large moon in the background. The inscription on the left side reads: ‘臣董诰恭画’ next to two seals “臣” and ‘诰’. Dong Gao (1740-1818).
