Glazed ceramic ‘Lotus petals’ mug, 19th century

A modelled ceramic mug with a short circular base and a long body that widens subtly towards the mouth. It is decorated with reliefs of fine overlapping lotus petals, which are in turn covered with a beautiful light-blue glaze, more subtle around the edges.
