Glazed porcelain inkwell, with Qianlong seal

A porcelain inkwell with a flattened globular body, a wide mouth and a ring-shaped base. The outer surface is covered with a flambé glaze in shades of brown with darker hues, a characteristic effect of the temperature variations during firing. The interior is glazed in white, which contrasts with the exterior. On the base is an underglaze blue seal with the inscription “大清乾隆年制”.
