A ceremonial sword carved from Hetian jade, which is white with ochre and brown spots due to oxidation and the natural veining of the jade. It consists of a straight, elongated, double-edged blade with a blunt end in the form of a rounded point. The entire blade is decorated with finely engraved geometric “cloud” (雲紋) patterns. The hilt consists of a cylindrical handle ending in a circular disc-shaped pommel, decorated with concentric rings, and a small, triangular-proportioned guard attached to the beginning of the blade. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
