Jade seal ‘Reclining Dog’, Qing dynasty

Oval-shaped jade seal with a polished surface and natural patina in shades of ochre and red. The upper part is crowned by a carving of a reclining dog, with simple, compact lines, playfully biting its tail. The base bears the inscription ‘宜子孙’ in bas-relief.
