Mambila Figure ‘Man with mask’, Cameroon

Wooden figure made after the models of the Mambila ethnic group. These statues allegedly, represent incarnations of ancestors. Among their characteristics, we can distinguish them by their thick feet, bent arms, large pupils and, in many cases, heart-shaped faces.

It shows losses and damage due to age.
