Carved Nanhong stone piece, ivory with reddish veins. The upper part shows a fantastic beast reclining among clouds in relief, with rounded shapes and a serene expression. At the base is an incised seal with the inscription ‘莲华室’. Qing dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
