Pendant with golden bronze beads, turquoise and white quartz Dzi
Composed of three types of antique beads, assembled on braided black thread. The set includes two gilt-bronze spherical beads (Yuan dynasty) with incised decoration in the form of vertical striations. At either end are two cylindrical blue-green turquoise beads with natural veining, characteristic of the Qing dynasty. The central axis consists of three Dzi-type beads carved in translucent white quartz, with smoothly faceted surfaces and sinuous motifs engraved in relief, evoking ritual patterns from the Ming period, but dated to the Qing dynasty. The symmetrical arrangement and variety of materials emphasise the ornamental and symbolic intent of the piece.
