Porcelain cushion with white enamel ‘Characters’, Ding kiln

Porcelain pillow, used in traditional medicine. The piece has an elliptical base and a concave upper surface. The sides are decorated with a detailed scene of figures playing among plant motifs, moulded in relief. It is covered with an ivory-white glaze. Song dynasty or later.
