Rectangular jade seal, “Dog”, Ming dynasty

Rectangular jade seal, crowned by the carving of a seated dog with a compact body, erect ears and a serene expression. The stone has a natural patina with greyish and ochre-coloured veins. The base retains the incised seal with the characters ‘生平意有余’.
