Skull decorated with beads, Huichol culture, Mexico, 20th century

A work of craftsmanship confirmed by a horse skull, whose surface has been decorated using the traditional technique of the Huichol (Wixárika) people of Mexico. Thousands of small, brightly coloured beads are applied one by one to create complex symbolic and geometric patterns.
