Stone paperweight ‘Lion’, Tang dynasty

Stone carving in the form of an archaic lion, with its body drawn up on its bent legs, and its large head cocked to one side. It shows a tense expression, with large open eyes, a wide nazi and a half-open maw revealing sharp fangs. Tang Dynasty (618 - 906) or later.
