Traditional Valencian women's clothing, ca.1939

Traditional Valencian costume or ‘fallera costume’ belonging to the fallera mayor ‘Mª Luisa Aranda’ of Valencia in 1939 and 1940. Consisting of skirt, bodice, petticoat, tablecloth, shoes and hairstyle. Handmade silk spur with floral details and ochre-coloured background. Short bodice with puffed sleeves ending in lace trimmed with fine sequins, matching the accessories.
