White jade seal “Horse”, Qing dynasty

Cylindrical seal carved in white jade with natural inclusions in reddish and orange tones. The upper part features the figure of a recumbent horse with its head turned to one side, in a serene attitude, carved with smooth lines that accentuate its mane and robust body. The circular base is engraved with characters in seal-style calligraphy “一生心事花鸟知”. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
