White jade seal ‘Reclining Animal’, Qing dynasty

Rectangular jade seal, pale ochre in colour with a brown and reddish patina. The upper part is carved with the figure of a reclining beast, its head raised alertly. The smooth, polished base is engraved with seven characters: ‘风流需雅亦吾师’.
