The main motif depicts a stag among peach plants and branches laden with fruit, a traditional symbol of longevity and good fortune, which is repeated around the perimeter. The scene continues in the interior, with a deer in a rocky landscape framed by a double circle. The ringed foot shows traces of wear and the background bears the six-character seal “大明嘉靖年製”.
