A pale green translucent jade sculpture of a dragon turtle (Bixi), a mythical creature of Chinese tradition, symbol of longevity, strength and protection. The piece shows a robust turtle body with detailed legs and shell, while the head takes on the features of a dragon, with prominent horns, expressive eyes and a half-open mouth revealing its fangs. The carving has fine linear engravings that highlight the scales, claws and decorative motifs on the carapace, combining volume and detail with great skill.
