Wooden Ruyi ‘Lingzhi’, Qing dynasty

Wooden ruyi sceptre, with a sinuous handle that mimics the organic shapes of the root, and a head in the shape of a lingzhi mushroom. The surface has a natural patina and tonal variations typical of wood. Qing dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
