Description.
Oil on panel. Painting inspired by the painting of the same name by Michiel Coxie (1499-1592) created in 1585 and currently belonging to the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial. The young David stands over the giant Goliath, who lies on the ground in armour. David, in a pose of effort, is about to cut off the giant's head with his own curved sword.
