17th century Spanish school "Saint Anne teaches the Virgin to read"

Oil on canvas. A religious work depicting family devotion through Saint Anne guiding Mary’s reading. Meanwhile, Saint Joachim observes the scene, reinforcing the transmission of faith within the home. Saint Anne is shown seated in the lower middle ground, gently holding a large open book on her lap. Her demeanor is tender and instructive, guiding the little girl’s attention with her hand. The child figure of Mary stands at the center of the painting. She appears focused, with her hands resting on the pages of the book, absorbing the lesson. Saint Joachim is depicted as an elderly man with a gray beard and reddish robes. He raises his right hand in a gesture that oscillates between a blessing and the attentive contemplation of the educational moment.  In the background, on the right, an opening or window breaks through the darkness of the room, revealing a twilight sky with shades of pink and yellow against a distant architectural silhouette . A period painting that has undergone later restorations.
