Oil on panel or tinplate in an oval format; a delicate miniature or bust portrait depicting a distinguished noblewoman dressed in a low-cut maroon velvet gown adorned with lace and gold trim, and wearing an updo with a flower. Framed in a superb, monumental period cornucopia made of carved and gilded wood.
