Description.
Oil on canvas. A half-length portrait of Isabella II of Spain, painted following the models developed by Federico de Madrazo and his original work from around 1850. The composition is set against a neutral background in burgundy tones. Additionally, brushstrokes and traces of retouching or marks are visible around the central figure, as well as a possible signature or inscription in the lower right corner. The work shows slight losses of the paint film and minor damage consistent with the piece’s age.
