Description.

Porcelain decorated in cobalt-blue enamel on a white ground, underglaze. The incense burner has a square shape and two rectangular handles. The sides show a continuous border with flying dragons amidst clouds. The profile widens outwards, and a straight line separates the upper border from the lower half, which is covered with fierce waves. The legs end in a lobed shape, similar to a 'ruyi'. 

In the centre of the base there is a seal "大明万历年制" (Dàmíng wàn lìnián zhì), set in a double rectangle. It also retains a provenance label indicating "Kunsthandel Klefisch GMBH / 200/ Asiatische Kunst . 80".
