A bronze "celestial official" sculpture, Ming dynasty

Bronze figure with patina and traces of pigments. It represents an official with Buddha-like features seated on a wooden base polychromed in black, like a throne. He is dressed in an elaborate ceremonial robe and headdress. He rests one hand close to his chest next to a decorative relief of the robe and the other on his lap. The face has a serene expression and is distinguished by a beard that falls on the neck. It shows a lot of wear due to its age.
