A Chinese Bronze "Guanyin", Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)
The figure is seated in dhyanasana upon a lotus base on a galleried stand. As a bodhisattva have a serene expression, the hair, exquisitely detailed, is upswept into a knot on top of the head under a crown made of foliage.
