Description.
A celadon-glazed porcelain bowl. The shape reminds of a flower, as it has a curved edge that outstands the body and resembles the petals. The rounded and slightly flared tilted body has a slightly more convex centre and base, creating a curved profile. The glazed is finer on the mouth and thicker on the base. Song Dynasty (960-1279).
Provenance: European private collection, France. Acquired by the present owner in 1981 in Toulouse from the private collection of Mr. Gerard Pasquier. A period photograph is shown.
