Description.
A pair of square seals made of gilded bronze, with the sides of the bases profusely engraved with archaic motifs of clouds and volutes. The upper knobs feature figures in the round depicting a mythical tortoise and a dragon tortoise, with scaly carapaces and heads held aloft. The square bases bear sigillate characters with traces of red cinnabar, and the set includes a fabric-lined case. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
