Original lithograph on paper by the renowned artist Abel Pann (1883–1963). The work illustrates a passage from biblical iconography and belongs to his well-known series on Genesis, depicting a tender and maternal scene where Rebecca affectionately embraces and kisses the young Jacob. The mother's figure, in profile, stands out with her traditional headdress adorned with spherical ornaments or beads, as she holds the curly-haired child to her breast. The composition is set against an expressionistic background of dense clouds and vegetation with bunches of grapes in warm, earthy tones, ochres, and vibrant reddish hues that evoke the light of the Middle East. Signed in the plate in the lower right corner "Abel Pann," and numbered in pencil as a limited edition "264/1000" on the left.
