It is a classical sculpture of a courtly or idealized pastoral couple depicted in a dancing or courtship pose. He wears a jacket decorated with floral bouquets, and she wears a fitted bodice with a full skirt, adorned with the characteristic “German flowers” motif. It bears a manufacturer’s mark on the base used between 1894 and 1900.
