Description.
A lenticular agate bead with a transverse perforation. It has a gently domed circular shape, characterised by an ‘eye’ pattern of concentric circles in sapphire blue tones with a white rim. Traditionally, these objects are regarded as amulets. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
