Description.
Engraved and polished agate in the form of a Tibetan Dzi bead. The piece, which is spindle-shaped with blunt ends, features a geometric ‘eight-eye’ design defined by concentric white circles, flanked by parallel bands at the ends. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
