Description.
Dzi bead (གཟི།) carved from agate into a tubular shape. It has an off-white background with a brown pattern. The decoration consists of a central four-petalled ‘flower’ motif flanked by lines at the ends. It shows patina due to ageing. Tang Dynasty (618-906).
Length: 3.7 cm. Diameter: 1.2 cm.
