Description.
Tubular, barrel-shaped Dzi bead (གཟི།). It has an off-white background with a subtle brown pattern. The decoration consists of a stylised central motif of a ‘double Ruyi’, inscribed in a petal and flanked by lines at the ends. It shows patina due to ageing. Tang Dynasty (618-906).
