Description.
Tubular, barrel-shaped Dzi bead (གཟི།) made of agate. The piece displays an intense dark brown, almost black colour, on which an off-white pattern is arranged. It is adorned with a ‘two-eye’ pattern completed by three transverse stripes, the central one being staggered. It shows patina due to ageing. Tang Dynasty (618-906).
