Description.
Comprising 16 small biconical beads and a large central ‘Dzi’ of fusiform shape. All the pieces have been carved from high-quality banded natural agate. The central element is notable for its concentric ‘eye’ pattern in shades of cream, dark brown and amber, symbolising spiritual vigilance and good fortune. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
