Description.
Tubular agate Dzi bead (གཟི།). It has an ochre and reddish base and decorations in a clear brown tone. It features the ‘Buddha's Eye’ motif, or ‘佛眼’, associated with supreme wisdom and compassion. It shows patina due to ageing. Tang Dynasty (618-906).
