Description.
A natural agate with an elongated shape, thicker in the centre and slightly curved. The piece is notable for its parallel concentric veining, with bands of orange, red and cream forming a pattern that creates a central ‘eye’. The surface has been polished to enhance the agate’s translucency. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
