Description.
Dzi bead (གཟི།) carved from agate into a tubular shape. It has an off-white background with a brown pattern. The decoration consists of a central ‘ray’ motif or sinuous element, flanked by lines at the ends. It shows patina due to ageing. Tang Dynasty (618-906) or later.
