Description.
Elongated Dzi-type bead (གཟི།), carved from dark, almost black agate with a marked and intense reddish and greenish patina. The piece features a decoration of parallel bands and almond-shaped eyes surrounding the spindle-shaped body. It shows natural wear and tear due to its great age. Xiangxiang culture (approx. 1500–1000 BC) or later.
