Description.
Natural two-tone carved agate, white and dark brown in colour. It has a spindle shape with a longitudinal perforation. It stands out for its central pattern of concentric circles that form what is known as the ‘Eye of Vajra’ ‘金刚眼’, a symbol of protection against negative forces. With patina and wear due to age. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
