Description.
A disc-shaped carved agate. It is notable for the presence of a natural ‘eye’ (板珠) on the front, formed by concentric bands of orange, white and caramel-ochre colours. The surface has a glassy polish that highlights the depth of the stone. It features a longitudinal hole for hanging. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
